knit tutorial

I´ve been asked to make a tutorial for this so I finally decided to post it. First you need a shirt and you need to cut it like this shirt or how ever you want to cut it. Remember that after doing this, your shirt will be smaller and and shorter. How much? It denpends on how much you do this, like how many knitted parts you do and so on. In my top I repeated this 3 times on 1 area on the back and 2 times on 2 areas on front and it went from L to XS but the knitted parts are quite tretchy. My top was also long and it became normal lenght.

So now you´ve cut your top. Make smaller holes like in the picture. I made 2 here even though maybe 1 would have been enough because the area is so small.

Take the strip above the small hole and pull it trough it from the behind(! this is important because otherwise it´ll look different)

Then take the next strip and pull it through the earlier strip that went through the whole you made in the beginning.

Continue doing that until there are no more strips left and then sew the last 1 where the knitted part ends. Then do this again next to the other 1 if you want.

I´m sorry that my explanation might have been a little complicated but I hope the pics show you better how to do that. It´s really easy. I learned it accidentaly, so if you know how to knit, I´m sure you´ll figure this out. Oh, and the magazine was inside the shirt so that it wouldn´t look too complicated and so that I wouldn´t accidentaly take fringes from the other side of the shirt.

I have to say that I´m not happy with how the hem ended up looking so I just hid it under a skirt. If you have any questions, I´d be happy to answer :)

it´s a zepra with a mohawk!!! o___o

I´ve been in love with this tank since I first saw it and I planned on ordering it when I get back to Finland and if I still have money. Well, I´m here now and I´m not broke but Bluefly doesn´t ship to Finland!! The tank is by Torn btw...

And then there is other shirt that I´ve had my eyes on. It´s Alpha 60´s long loose t-shirt that has a smoking boy´s pic on it. But guess if I can find it anywhere online?

super tired and should be doing everything else than this right now

I recently got invited to lookbook.nu and some of you might have already noticed the link to my profile on the side bar. I was so exited when I received the invitation email but I was kinda scared of posting the first look haha. The invitation was from Paul ;) I haven´t posted many looks yet because I´ve been busy and I´m gonna be quite busy for the next 10 days (school stuff) but after that I´ll be posting more on lookbook and here. I promise! I should have more time now when I´m back in Finland. And slash tee tutorial is coming soon! I´m working on it haha.

I haven´t posted in a veery long time! I came to Estonia a week ago and after thar I haven´t had a proper internet connection. First I was like "OH NO! How do I follow fashion and shows and all the blogs now?? I´ll be so out when I get back to Finland :'''(". But after all... I´ve had a pretty good time here so far. I´ve shopped and eaten in fancy restaurants (well, once :p) and seen places. I´ve bought a belt, harem (kind of) pants, a shirt and a cardigan. And umm... non of them were on my wish list I made before I left. And I found perfect shoes!!! But size 36 was too big for me (wtf?) and they didn´t have smaller.

Here you can see my bed and my pink suitcase and 2 bags (the black and white 1 in the corner is my favorite. It´s Friis & Company) and 1 pair of shoes.
And 1 week later... (and this is after I picked up all the stuff from the floor and put them on my bed)
This is a pic of the jacket I´m making at school. I´ve actually already cut the pieces and started to sew. The other exchange students study their second year. And the class where we are now study their second year too. And I´m on my first year, so, I kind of find this weird sometimes. It´s like I should know how to do stuff that I haven´t done before. I haven´t done any major mistakes yet, so it´s cool. And I´m doing good!
My salad with fish and orange-sauce.
This 1 I took when we were watching a fashion show practises. Those snakes skins pants are everywhere but I´m not really getting into them. They would look awesome with someone with long and thin legs but not on me. They are not my style anyway. Leather pants I could wear! And I want fur hat. I´ve seen a few people wearing 1 but I haven´t found any yet. Maybe I should go look at the mens department because all the people wearing the kinda hat I would want have been men. Maybe next time I see some1 wearing that kind of hat I have to ask them where they bought it. I´ve been walking around the city a lot and I´ve noticed that in Tallinn almost everybody looks the same. They don´t have the kind of street style like in Helsinki or other big cities. Everybody wears fur and patent leather.

alan olla aika kikseissääää!! (sorry, i couldn´t express my feelings in english)

Some of you may know that I´m going to Estonia tomorrow. For 4 weeks. It´s a student exchange project. My school there is called toostushariduskeskus (or tööstus...? :o) :DD. I think it´s funny. I´m getting pretty excited. I hate it that every time you go somewhere, you can only take a limited amount of clothes with you. I´ve packed almost everything and now I´m just waiting for my mom because she comes here tonight and she gives me a ride to the harbour tomorrow morning. There I´ll meet the other girls that are going too.
.
List of things I´ll be looking for while I´m there:
-black shoes with chunky heels
-black bag with fringes
-black leather shorts
-red sunglasses
-floral thights
...and maybe new black jeans that I would cut.
.
That´s a lot of black :o Anyways... I´ll write whenever I have time. I´m gonna take my laptop with me but I´m not sure if there´s a net connection in our dormitory.

i don´t know why i ever felt like i needed to change

As you can see, I dyed my hair back to black. Or actually it´s dark brown but it looks like black hehe. That color I had just wasn´t for me. And I was supposed to dye it blonde but I couldn´t imagine myself blonde again. Today I felt more like myself than in a long time. I´m happy :)

I wanted to show you guys this DIY top that just made. It was a L-size long white top and I planned to cut it inspired by this Alexander Wang´s dress but I looked like a fat sausage in it :D And I´m being serious, it had "lose 20lbs now!" written all over it. So, I changed it so that it looks like this now. I don´t know if I look any better in it but I like it more this way! You can´t even imagine how much it shrank after I had done those knitted-looking parts.

I´m wearing a dark blue top under it and a black skirt. Skirt was like that already... I didn´t cut it too :D

Maybe I should make a post about how to make this top..? It wasn´t hard to make! I´m sure anyone could pull this out.
